The WLAN utility installed and is working OK but says driver not loaded. ![]() It seems that the Broadcom software should work (chipset must be the same).įound a link to that said next-gadgets supply the same model and their drivers work and I have downloaded that. I have sent a message to the dealer about the problem but so far no reply.ĭid some Googling and found that a number of people have had a similar problem for some reason. I did get the standard failed to install new hardware properly so wasn't surprised. I then checked Device Manager and it showed the driver had not been installed. Installed the software from supplied mini CD but when I tried to access the utility software it said incompatible driver-cannot access application. Oh well.Just bought this from eSecureGB on eBay to fit into my daughters desktop which is running Windows XP Pro+SP2. ![]() My adapters are being recognized but unfortunately they don't connect to 5Ghz. I downloaded Kali Realtek drivers using instructions from this blog here Is there anything I should try? I tried installing drivers from Github but that didn't work either. But I'm really stumped when it comes to finding support for hardware. ![]() I'm still a newbie at Linux, I've only really been using it for a decade and a half or so, lol. I tried my there 5 GHz wifi adapter and that one doesn't work as well. I actually read somewhere that the latest Linux kernel is actually supposed to support these adapters right out of the box. ![]() I went to the driver directory on the disc and tried the "make" and "make install" method and it's not working. Supposedly I install is from a bash install.sh script. It comes with a tiny install disk and even though it doesn't say it on the box it has Linux drivers. This is the brand and model of my wifi adapter I bought another one hoping to use this with my Linux machine. I use a small little EDUP wifi adapter with a Windows 10 laptop and it's really great. ![]()
